Lexus rollover

Consumer Reports found that the GX 460 Lexus has an increase risk of rollover during a turn.

The special designation given to the GX 460 by Consumer Reports -- "Don't Buy: Safety Risk" -- is rarely given by the magazine.

Toyota Fine

The federal government announced it's seeking the maximum penalty, more than $16 million, against Toyota for failing to promptly notify the government about defective gas pedals .

The size of this fine sets a new record.

Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood explained that the evidence showsToyota knew of the problem with sticking gas pedals in late September but did not issue a recall until late January.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced this week that the Harmony High Chair was unsafe for use. The action by the Commission prompted a recall of 1.2 million chairs produced by Graco Children's Products Inc.
